The original Lion King was the first movie I ever saw in a cinema. I’m not crying, you’re crying. #TheLionKing https://t.co/Wqr6bGXX3g

If live action Lion King doesn’t beat Avatar as the higest grossing movie of all time then something is wrong.

New Lion King trailer is amazing. I’m billing @Disney for the therapy I’m going to need. As if watching a cartoon Musfasa dying wasn’t traumatic enough, now I can see the light drain from his eyes in IMAX 3D. #TheLionKing

Hearing James Earl Jones voice in the brand new #lionking trailer had me welling up with emotions. I said from day one, this was going to be a fantastic movie. The cast is stacked, the cgi is beautiful. I can’t wait.https://t.co/1I4buoh0TF

As much as I like the visuals of the remake (remaster? Lol), the original still has its charm intact. What a landmark film. https://t.co/GtLDXxnjge

However, the trailer has also prompted some mixed emotions for fans of the original. Some people still aren’t convinced the remake will match the excellence of the first version, others debated whether CGI effects really count as live-action, and some wondered whether the film should even be remade at all.
These movies aren’t necessary. https://t.co/KoY8nKTKUv

Does the Lion King need a remake like this? https://t.co/MSJzzyl7Jr

the good thing about a shot-for-shot photoreal remake of The Lion King is that it requires less imagination of both the people who make it and the people who watch it

Is the new lion king even live action?
Like they just take a picture of the African Savanna and animate the lions over it for the entire movie— Slazo (@Slazo) November 23, 2018
The Lion King didn’t need a CGI remake. Change my mind.

*New Lion King trailer comes out*
My brain:
Say it.
Say it.
Say it.
Say it.
Say it.
Say it.
Say it.
Say it.
Say it.
Say it.
Say it.Me: ”It’s CGI not live-action.”

I am depressed by the Lion King remake trailer with its cold rendering empty of life and without art direction. I prefer to share with you the sublime backgrounds from the original movie : https://t.co/EBKdV12RYT pic.twitter.com/qmBhE1F7Nh
