
Kevin Hart Scrambles To Delete Anti-Gay Tweets After Being Named Oscars Host
Comedian Kevin Hart is deleting his anti-gay tweets after being named the host of the Oscars.
BuzzFeed News notes one of Hart’s 2011 tweets read:
Yo if my son comes home & try’s 2 play with my daughters doll house I’m going 2 break it over his head & say n my voice ‘stop that’s gay.
Benjamin Lee, of The Guardian, tweeted some of Hart’s anti-gay tweets:

Rees for Hart and the Oscars did not respond to BuzzFeed News’ request for comment, but Hart has denied being anti-gay in the past.
BuzzFeed News notes Hart also tweeted in 2009:
I just saw the biggest gay guy ever! This n*gga looked like hulf hogan with heels on! I can’t lie I got scared!!!!!!
Rich Ferraro, spokesperson for GLAAD, told BuzzFeed News via email:
GLAAD reached out to ABC, The Academy and Kevin Hart’s management to discuss his rhetoric and record as well as opportunities for positive LGBTQ inclusion on the Oscars stage. They have not yet responded.
